As I drop off my mom at the airport after her holiday visit, I am reflecting on the last week and all that has happened.
1. I will admit that I have not been committed to my workout plan, but I am grateful for my health and that I can continue my journey when I am ready. I have had some various injuries but right now I am 100% and have no real excuse not work out daily.
2. I will admit that I did not eat especially clean this week. I have had more dairy than I probably have in the last three months. My gut feels heavy and I am more tired. However, I am grateful that I could spend time with family and I know my mother-in-law’s way to show love is by cooking.
3. I admit I haven’t weighed in and am not sure I will be happy when I do. Yet I am grateful I have learned to give myself grace. I have come far recently with my mental and emotional health issues. Even six months ago this unintended break would have made me doubt myself and my ability to ever get healthy. Now, this is just a detour in the longer journey. I will be back in track and stronger than ever!
Take time to list what your grateful for and what lessons you are learning this season.
